Children's Ministry

Kids love Gatetree and Gatetree loves KIDS!

Our purpose is to offer your children a place of wonder and discovery as they learn Bible truths. Our goal for each weekend service is to create an environment that is both educational and entertaining. We want to capture your child’s imagination, intrigue them, and set them on a course of discovery.

Our Children's Ministry seeks to bring children into age-appropriate learning opportunities where they can belong to the family of God, grow in their relationship with Christ, learn to serve, and share their faith with their friends.

Gatetree is large enough to meet the basic needs of children and small enough to offer one-on-one care and teaching. Our classrooms are clean, bright and we use the most up-to-date curriculum available for teaching children. Our outdoor play-equipment is screened for security and safe even for the smallest tot.

Special events such as Vacation Bible School, the Easter EGGtravaganza, Children's Christmas Pageant and Parent/Child Dedication Day are included in the yearly calendar. The Kids Singers are a regular part of our Sunday Worship Service at 10:45 AM.

Workers must be at least 21 and have successfully passed a thorough, criminal background check.

Preschool Ministry

Our preschool ministry (birth-5) is staffed by competently trained care-givers who provide an atmosphere of nurture and security for each child. The activity-based learning experience focuses on God as a real and loving person.

Kids’ Small Groups

Our hope is that children in Kids' Small Groups (grades 1-6) can dig deeper into God's Word and learn about the limitless love that God has to offer them.

We also hope the relationships that the children build in their groups will last a lifetime and that they’ll look forward to spending time each week with kids their own age.

Kids on Mission

The best way for children to become "mission-minded" is through their involvement in our Kids On Mission experience each Sunday at 5:30 PM (with the exception of June-August.) Their focus is on learning about "real-life" Southern Baptist missionaries. They are presently focusing on the ministry of Brian and Inna White in Russia.
